Kinect- With 3D Glass
Kinect, the popular with Microsoft's Xbox, has been now made compatible with 3D glasses by SMI. These glasses have the power to sense eye movement, active shutter and can also track your head. These glasses set up a virtual environment and it knows exactly where and what you are looking at and then they make the virtual object react to it. This is all through technology named 'gaze interaction'. Just think that you are playing an adventure game, and when you can make the character react to your eye and head movement. In action games, to break brinks, you just need to shake your head. What fun!
Oculus Rift
Made with 2 HD glasses, by Kickstarter, 3D gaming glasses called Oculus Rift has added something big to virtual reality in the gaming world. They give you the feeling as if you are playing on the field in reality. They take you inside the game. Famous games developers like Epic Games, iD and Valve are coming up with games that will be based around the Oculus Rift
Xbox IllumiRoom
Microsoft's research team has come up with the concept of IllumiRoom that extends your game outside your television and projects those visuals and images on the walls. You can enter your game through this and your actions in your room will define the actions of the characters in the game. For example, if you have to shoot a gun in the game, you will really have to act like you are shooting it in real life. People are hoping that this will be a feature in soon to be launched.
Project Holodeck
This technology uses Oculus Rift, Project Holodeck takes it a step further as rather than just tracking your head, it tracks full body. It will work with two people, so you can easily enjoy games with your buddies. This technology will convert your room into VR playpen.
Leap Motion
This is one accurate technology that can track movement of your each finger separately in 3D environment. This affordable and open source technology can connect and enjoyed with any USB device to play games.
